I am a student of Gaeilge agus Iriseoireacht in Dublin City University. The university provides students with the opportunity to take part in a programme called 'The Uaneen Module'. The module is named after a graduate of DCU who was very much a part of the college society life.
The idea of the module is to provide academic credits to students for extra-curricular activities - such as involvment in clubs and societies within the college, or any other activities deemed suitable by the module co-ordinators.
I have decided to take the module next year (academic year 2011/12), and this blog is to help me with my report at the end of the year. I hope to include photographs, audio, video and written pieces.
I apologise if the language suddenly changes to Irish; I have not yet asked if I am allowed to complete the module in Irish, but should it transpire that I am, I will be immediately switching to Gaeilge.
